Gas Fire Preperation

Gas Fire Preperation

Before installing your new appliance, we recommended that the chimney be properly surveyed (See Chimney Inspections)chimneyInspection

Once the chimney has passed inspection, the chimney flue should be cleared of any debris and soot.
Sweeping the chimney by conventional means, using regular sweeping brushes will remove only the loose deposits.
Creosote or crust deposits from solid fuel usage will be left behind, which eventually loosen and fall onto the gas fire, causing problems and possible dangers of poisonous CARBON MONOXIDE gas spilling into the room.

Our solution is to mechanically clean the chimney  ensuring all creosote and crust deposits are removed prior to installation of your appliance.
