Patrick is Managing Director of Cowan Chimney Solutions ltd. President of the Chimney Sweeps Association of Ireland, Director of Education at the National Chimney Sweep Training School of Ireland, see www.csai.ie 

He is a Fetac and FÀS approved Instructor, August 18th 2010  "Cowan Chimney Solutions Ltd's approved Training Programmes and Trainers have been placed on the FÀS/EI National Register of Trainers. The registration number of Cowan Chimney Solutions Ltd is 903750 and the registration expiry date is 09/08/2013"

Patrick is a chimney fire investigator and chimney fire Insurance claim negotiator. Patrick has appeared on  RTE TV's Eco-Eye program with Duncan Stewart for his expertise in chimney fire prevention, a regular contributor on EastCoast FM's Morning Show with Declan Meehan and recently appeared on RTE TV's Capital D program and the Derek Mooney Radio Show.

June 2008, Patrick returned from the Chimney Safety Institute of America, ( pictured below) www.csia.org  where he successfully completed the National Chimney Sweep Training School and Certified Chimney Sweep exam. (the first chimney sweep in Europe to do so).

Patrick opened the National Chimney Sweep Training School of Ireland as Director of
Education in January, 2009. The next National Chimney SweepTraining School & Certified exam is scheduled for January 9th-14th, 2012.
